The flash adventure online game Anika’s Odyssey starts with young girl Anika, who was supposed to gather water from the well. As a great eagle swoops from the sky to capture her pal bunny rabbit, Anika panics and uses her pail to jump over the fence to start looking for her friend. Thus, her exciting adventure begins! This is a different type of adventure game in which strategy is involved in playing the game to be able to complete the adventure. Compared to the usual action adventure, the strategic thinking makes it even more exciting as you click on objects to enable a series of events. The puzzles to be solved are mostly based on common sense, nothing too difficult. Over all, I rate it as 8 out of 10 because of the funny creatures, the nice visuals that make it look like you are watching a cartoon version of Alice in Wonderland, and the equally enchanting music. It would have been better if the gameplay was longer or if there was a second part, but overall, the game is really good and worth your time playing.

Anika's Odyssey

Another popular flash adventure online game is The Fancy Pants Adventure created by Brad Borne. The first time I played the game, I started to remember Super Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog combined. Even if the character is made out of a simple stick like figure wearing pants, it looks unique together with the background animation. The character dashes to run and jump on springboards to collect items or to just run over a hill or a mountain, encountering some obstacles or enemies. Some of the collected swirls in the game refills your health and gives you an extra life. Overall, I give it 9 out of 10 as the animation is smoothly made, the character’s acrobatics can make the player feel how gravity can be defied, and the music background fits the game well. This is a change from the usual 3d and highly detailed animation of some adventure games I have ever played.

The Fancy Pants Adventure

Whatever adventure game you choose and play would entirely depend if you want to have a faster gameplay or if you want to solve riddles or puzzles in the adventure. It would be exciting once in a while to try both games to test your reflex or logic skills.
